Tom Callinan spent over 20 years leading companies of all sizes that have grown market share and profits. In 1987 Tom founded Copifax, Inc., a company focused intensely on innovative products and services for mid-market businesses. Tom led that company as CEO for 10 years earning a spot on the prestigious Inc. 500 list of fastest growing U.S. privately held companies.
The reputation and success of Copifax attracted the interest of major public companies and in 1997 Copifax was acquired by IKON Office Solutions, a NYSE Fortune 500 Company. Over the next eight years Tom was promoted five times and held progressively more responsible senior management and executive positions with IKON.
After integrating Copifax into IKON's Philadelphia Marketplace, Tom was appointed Vice President and CFO of IKON’s $335 million MidAtlantic District and successfully led the integration of six operating companies into one processing center. Tom was then appointed president of IKON's New York City Marketplace where he led a team that increased revenue from $47 to $60 million and operating income from breakeven to 11% over three years. After successfully leading the $600 million Southeast Region and then the $800 million Northeast Region, Tom was appointed vice president and general manager of IKON’s largest business unit, the Eastern Region at $1.4 billion, reporting to the Chairman and CEO. Tom’s result driven leadership was recognized by his peers with IKON’s “Above and Beyond” Award.
Tom graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and was recognized with two endowed awards, the prestigious Class of 1969 and the Pi Delta Epsilon Awards. Tom has participated in post baccalaureate studies in marketing and accounting at Edinburgh Business School, management studies at Cornell University, and strategy studies at the Wharton Aresty Institute, where Tom is a Fellow. Tom is a Six Sigma certified green belt and project champion.
